Frontside 5-0 trick tips
How to do frontside 5-0 guide
The 5-0 is a fairly simple grind. Before learning this trick you should be able to 50-50 and manual. While this trick is very different than simply doing a manual, some of the balance aspects are essentially the same. Before trying this one, make sure you can manual alright and understand how to maintain balance and control. Also, you might want to spend some time practicing doing ollies and landing in manuals.
The following trick tip will show you how to do fs 5-0 grind
Set up just like you would for an ollie. The back foot should be square on your tail of the deck. The front foot will be best placed just a few inches behind the front bolts.
1. Find a good sized ledge, rain or curb to practice on. Make sure it’s not too high and the surface is smooth enough. It is easier to do on a ledge, so you might want to try there first. Push a few times and get some speed. Ride parallel up to the object you’re going to grind.
2. When you have a proper distance between you and the object you’re going to grind, bend down and pop a clean ollie and get yourself over the object. As you’re about to land on the object, put a bit of extra pressure over your back truck, and un-level your board as if you were going to land in a manual.
3. As you land, only your back truck should be touching the object you’re grinding on. Keep you’re balance using your arms. It doesn’t matter whether your tail touches or not, it’s all about your personal style, but I find it looks nicer if it isn’t touching.
4. When you want to get off, you can do one of two things. You can either lift your nose slightly and pivot off, or you can ollie off. You should definitely learn the pivot off first before trying the ollie off.
